3.3.23. Thermostat

GENERAL INFORMATION

At increase of temperature of cooling liquid to a certain value the thermostat opens a big contour of the cooling system (through a radiator). If it does not happen (for example, because of malfunction of the thermostat), then the engine overheats. It can be determined by the index of temperature of cooling liquid on the dashboard (it at the same time is in a red zone). Along with it the radiator remains cold. If the thermostat is not closed, then the engine does not reach the working temperature. At the same time the arrow of the index of temperature of cooling liquid rises more slowly, than usually, and efficiency of heating of salon decreases in the winter.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To substitute under the thermostat capacity for collecting cooling liquid.
2. Uncover the thermostat case, having turned off bolts and to take her aside together with the hose attached to it.
3. To take out the thermostat with a sealing ring.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the thermostat with a new sealing ring so that the arrow was directed down.
2. Tighten bolts of fastening of a cover of the thermostat the moment of 15 Nanometers.

THE DIESEL TC4EE1 WITH THE TURBO-SUPERCHARGING

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To substitute under the thermostat capacity for collecting cooling liquid.
2. Disconnect a cooling system hose from a thermostat case cover.
3. Turn off bolts of fastening of a cover of the case of the thermostat.
4. To take out the thermostat.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear the interfaced surfaces of the case and a cover of the thermostat.
2. Install the thermostat so that the opening was from above.
3. To put into place a thermostat cover with a sealing ring and to fix bolts of its fastening by the moment of 30 Nanometers.
4. Connect a hose of the cooling system and to fix it by a collar.
