3.3.16. Check of a gap in the directing plugs of valves

GENERAL INFORMATION

For check of a gap between the directing plugs and cores of valves it is necessary to insert the valve into the directing plug and to press it at first to one wall, and then to another. If the gap is felt, then its size needs to be measured by means of the indicator. If the gap goes beyond admissible limits, it is necessary to develop an opening in the directing plug, and to replace the valve with another, the repair size.

Admissible gap in the plug of valves:

 – for inlet valves: 0,018–0,052 mm;
 – for final valves: 0,038–0,072 mm.

Admissible radial beating of a core of the valve in relation to a valve saddle:

 – for inlet valves: 0,03 mm;
 – for final valves: 0,03 mm.
