3.3.14. Grinding of valves

GENERAL INFORMATION

It is not obligatory to replace valves on new if on their conic surface there are no deep scratches. It is possible to grind valves 1–2 times. Further grinding of valves is not recommended as it leads to excessive reduction of thickness of a cylindrical edge of a plate that can entail its obgoraniye. Especially it belongs to final valves.

Prevention

The end of a core of the valve cannot be ground.
