3.2.20. Engine and transmission

GENERAL INFORMATION

Sockets of wires on the engine X 16 XEL

1 – two-contact socket of the engine;
2 – the sensor reacting to blow;
3 – grounding wire;
4 – valve of adjustment of exhaust gases;
5 – sensor of rotation of a bent shaft;
6 – grounding wire;
7 – the operated tank valve;
8 – three-contact socket of the engine;
9 – oxygen sensor;
10 – ignition distributor block;
11 – sensor of rotation of the camshaft

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
2. Remove the air filter and an airintaking branch pipe.
3. Uncover the engine.
4. Accurately disunite all sockets of wires on the engine.
5. Disconnect a plait of wires and vacuum hoses.
6. Disconnect vacuum hoses from an inlet collector.
7. Remove a rope of a pedal of an accelerator and an arm of a rope.
8. Disconnect a wire of the plus plug of the accumulator and the multicontact socket of the engine.
9. Press fuel hoses and disconnect them from the fuel pressure regulator.
10. Disconnect ropes of coupling and a speedometer. Remove the lever of gear shifting of the transmission and its guide.
11. Merge cooling liquid and disconnect both hoses of a radiator.

12. Disconnect tubes from oil cooler adapters.

13. Disconnect an airintaking branch pipe and a vacuum hose from the air valve.
14. Remove a plate of a cover of the engine and a wedge-shaped belt.
15. Unscrew bolts of the hydraulic booster of steering and disconnect the hydraulic booster.
16. Put the car on the emergency brake and lift a forward part.
17. Disconnect forward section of an exhaust pipe.
18. Fix the engine on the elevator.
19. Remove a cross-piece of a forward suspension bracket.
20. Remove axes.
21. Disconnect heater hoses from a heater radiator.
22. Establish a jack under the engine and raise the engine and the transmission.
23. Disconnect fastenings of the engine to a cross-piece.
24. Disconnect the fastenings of the elevator supporting the engine.
25. Lower the engine and the transmission and get them from under the car.

Installation

Installation is carried out upside-down removals.
